How ratings work
- Members can rate eligible outfit posts on a scale from 0 to 10, as well as like and comment.
- A post’s rating is shown as an aggregate, together with the number of votes.
- You cannot rate your own posts. [Product decision: confirm]
- Rating identity: [Product decision: confirm whether creators can see who rated them and what score each person gave (recommended: aggregates only)]
Your rating controls
- Ratings can be turned off at any time. Likes and comments continue to work.
- Turning ratings off: [Product decision: confirm whether this applies per post, account-wide, or both, and whether existing ratings are hidden, kept or removed]
- Posts with ratings off do not appear on rating-based leaderboards. [Product decision: confirm]
- Private posts are never shown to other members and cannot be rated by them.
Respectful feedback
Ratings and comments are about the outfit — styling, colour, fit and creativity — not the person wearing it. Comments that body-shame, insult, sexualise or harass break our Community Guidelines and will be removed.
How leaderboards are calculated
Each launch city has three leaderboards:
- Trending — popular outfits this week.
- Rising Stars — new creators gaining attention.
- Top Creators — consistent, highly rated stylists over the last 90 days.
Rankings consider both how highly a look is rated and how many people rated it, so a handful of votes cannot dominate. Recency also matters, so boards stay fresh. We tune the formula over time and do not publish its exact weights, to make it harder to game.
Rating manipulation and fraudulent voting
The following are not allowed:
- creating or using multiple or fake accounts to rate;
- vote trading, rating rings or coordinated “rate-for-rate” schemes;
- buying, selling or incentivising ratings, likes or follows;
- using bots, scripts or automation;
- mass low-rating someone’s posts to harm their position (brigading).
Protecting leaderboard integrity
We use automated signals and human review to detect suspicious activity. We may discount or remove ratings, exclude posts or accounts from leaderboards, reset scores, or take action on accounts involved — including the beneficiary of manipulation.
